One of the very best solutions for missing teeth is a dental implant. These titanium posts are surgically implanted in the jaw bone, where they take the place of a tooth root and provide an incredible anchor for dental crowns, dental bridges and dentures. Dental implants require at least two surgeries and several months of healing time, but can provide you with a lifetime of incredible support for your restorations. Because dental implants are not susceptible to decay, and because they actually help you to retain bone mass in your jaw, they can be a brilliant investment in your oral health. If you are missing teeth, Dr. Savas can help determine if dental implants are right for you, and refer you to a trusted periodontist. Dr. Savas is now performing his own implant surgery and there will no longer be a need to refer our patients out to a periodontist. You can have the entire procedure done here, in our office, from start to finish and our fees are lower than the periodontists would charge you.
We provide custom-made tooth-shaped prosthetics to replace missing teeth and protect teeth that have become weakened by damage or decay. After a tooth has been treated for decay, it can serve as an anchor for a crown, which will restore balance and an attractive appearance to your smile. Crowns can also restore a dental implant. A bridge can close a gap left by a missing tooth, using adjacent dental crowns or a dental implant as an anchor.
By using advanced in-house CEREC technology, we can take a digital impression of your teeth and use it to create a custom crown, bridge, inlay or onlay for you in a single visit. The material we use with the CEREC technology is the highest level of ceramic quality, called Emax. No more porcelain to metal crowns where you can see the metal. Now you can leave our office with a healthy, functional and beautiful smile in one visit!
Gum and Periodontal Treatments
Bacteria and plaque can collect below the gum line. It is important to address these conditions before the gums become infected, or before the tooth roots begin to decay. Our gentle treatments can effectively clean your teeth and gums below the gum line, helping to restore a healthy foundation for your smile.
Root Canal Therapy
When decay progresses to the center of a tooth, root canal treatment can salvage the tooth’s outer structure, allowing you to continue relying upon that tooth for a balanced bite, a complete appearance and efficient chewing. This procedure requires the drilling of a small access point in the tooth’s outer structure, through which the tooth’s pulp is completely removed. The access point is then sealed with a rubber-like material. Depending on your needs, the tooth may be capped or crowned for additional reinforcement.
Full-mouth Rehabilitation
If your teeth and gums require a combination of several procedures in order to once again achieve a state of health and balance, Dr. Savas can evaluate the state of your mouth to recommend a customized rehabilitation plan. If you are in need of advanced treatments and expert care to recover from a damaged or decayed smile, Dr. Savas works closely with specialists in the area to collaboratively devise a treatment plan that can rehabilitate the teeth and mouth.
